OK guys. It's time to see what you know, and what you don't.
We watched a movie called the Terminator. We discussed how it relates to our unit on "the system unit". No we have to see who was listening.

This Image shows Tom Cruz interacting with a computer using some futuristic input device.
The image is from a movie called The Minority Report.
Let's take a close look at the input devices of the past, present, and perhaps future.
We will begin with a PowerPoint presentation that I created for you, and then move on to our book.
Later we may see what the world of science fiction has to say abut input devices.

This challenge is more of an individual challenge than a group challenge, but I think I can make it work.
I will record how long it takes each student in the class to complete the challenge. Then we average that number by the number of students in that class. The class with the lowest score is the winner. Fair?
O.K., good luck.
Mr. H.
You guys worked hard on the last few units. We had two in a row with no break.
Yesterday's test was a success, and today is Friday. So instead of creating a blog entry, You have earned the chance to watch a little of The Terminator.
Let's view this from the mindset of people who are technologically aware. How realistic is this science fiction movie. For example, how much is science, and how much is fiction. How long may it take before the fiction becomes science?
Enjoy - Mr. H.
So what the heck IS inside that case anyway? Well, by now I hope you know because our test is today.
We have reviewed, and you're ready. Just take your time and do your best.
Good luck.
-Mr. H.
I would like to see just how fast the transfer speed is on the networked PC's in our classroom.
I propose we test the speed at the same time each day for one week (at least), and record the speeds.
Lets all use a site called "speedtest.net" and record our findings in a form. The form is located here.
-Mr. H.
OK gentlemen, let's start this new Unit. Unit 4, the system unit.
As usual, I have created some forms that aim to highlight important information from your books. Follow this form as you READ from the book.
Note: This form, and it's readings SHOULD take several class periods to complete.
-Mr. H.
We have been working with tables. By now, I expect you all to be neer-experts in coding tables. Soon I want you to be full-on-experts. To achieve that, you're going to need to be able to use tables for more than holding data - you will need to be able to use them as a design tool.
I want us to look at a few area high school websites and pay close attention to the way the contents are arranged. Could tables have been used?
